  • Distance & Route – Longer routes and cross-border transport typically cost more than local or regional deliveries.

  • Pallet Dimensions & Weight – Standard EUR-pallets (120x80 cm) and industrial pallets (120x100 cm) have baseline prices, while oversized or overweight pallets incur surcharges.

  • Number of Pallets – Shipping multiple pallets in one order often lowers the per-pallet cost compared to single shipments.

  • Urgency of Delivery – Same-day or express deliveries are priced higher than standard lead times.

  • Pick-up & Delivery Locations – Urban and well-connected hubs are cheaper than remote or hard-to-reach areas.

  • Available Truck Capacity – CtrlChain matches your pallets with carriers’ unused space. Prices may vary depending on current supply and demand for freight capacity.

  • Extra Services – Services such as tail-lift delivery, inside delivery, or special handling add to the base price.

Yes. By entering your shipment details (origin, destination, number of pallets, dimensions, and timing) into the platform, you receive an instant quote with transparent pricing.

What types of pallets are supported?

By digitising your processes, eliminating manual handling, consolidating tools, and improving carrier selection, CtrlChain helps lower labour, transport, and admin costs while boosting efficiency.

CtrlChain supports several common pallet types. The main categories are:

  • EUR-pallet (Euro pallet, 120 x 80 cm)
    The most widely used pallet type in Europe. It is standardized, durable, and accepted across all European transport networks. Ideal for general goods, consumer products, and standardized loads.

  • Industrial pallet (Block pallet, 120 x 100 cm)
    Slightly larger than the Euro pallet, offering more space per load. Commonly used in retail and industrial sectors for bulkier or heavier goods.

  • Half-pallet (60 x 80 cm)
    A smaller version of the Euro pallet, often used for lighter shipments or promotional goods. Easier to handle and suitable for retail floor deliveries.

  • Oversized pallets (non-standard dimensions)
    CtrlChain can also arrange transport for pallets larger than the Euro or Industrial size. These require a tailored quote, as they may take up more than one pallet space in the truck.

What if I have 20 or 30 pallets to ship?

What shipment sizes does CtrlChain handle?
CtrlChain can manage shipments of any size, from a single pallet to a full truckload (FTL).

  • Less-than-Truckload (LTL)
    If your shipment is smaller than a full truck (e.g., a few pallets), CtrlChain combines it with other shippers’ loads. This optimizes truck space, reduces costs, and lowers CO₂ emissions.

  • Partial Truckload (PTL)
    For medium-sized shipments (e.g., 10–20 pallets), your freight may occupy most of the truck. In this case, CtrlChain assigns dedicated capacity for your pallets while still optimizing unused space.

  • Full Truckload (FTL)
    Once your shipment reaches about 30–33 Euro pallets (depending on truck size and stacking), you are essentially booking the entire truck. For 20 pallets, you’re close to FTL territory, and CtrlChain will match you with carriers who can take most or all of your load in one go.

Does the price per pallet change if I book many pallets?
Yes. The more pallets you ship, the lower the cost per pallet tends to be. This is because:

  • The fixed costs (driver, fuel, loading/unloading) are spread across more pallets.

  • CtrlChain can assign you dedicated capacity, which improves efficiency.

Can I track my pallet shipments?
Yes. Every shipment comes with real-time tracking via the CtrlChain platform, giving you full visibility from pick-up to delivery.

What happens if my pallet is delayed?
You’ll be notified immediately through the platform. CtrlChain’s support team will also proactively assist in resolving delays with the carrier.
